Open Outlook Express (or Outlook), select the following

• TOOLS
• ACCOUNTS
• ADD, MAIL

(It may open to directly to "Display Name")

Enter Display Name, normally user’s first & last name

Enter user’s complete email address, example: sue@yourdomain.com

Incoming mail server: POP3 server

Incoming Server: mail.yourdomainname.com
[CHANGE "yourdomainname" to your web site url ]
CHANGE ".com" if your web site uses a different domain extension
(ie: .net .us .biz etc., etc.)

Outgoing Server: mail.yourdomainname.com
((same instructions as above))

Account name, complete email address: username@yourdomain.com

Password: (xxxxx) all lowercase

Check, Save Password, Finish

• When Finished, go to Tools, Accounts, Properties.  Select servers Tab: You will need to check: "My server requires authentication"
  (important: you must turn this button on or you will not be able to send mail outside the domain without it)
   
• Close, then go to tools, options, Select security Tab:Check the radial button for Internet Zone (less secure but more functional)
   
• Uncheck "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that may potentially be a virus" Leaving this checked off will not allow you to open any attachments.

For all other Email Programs: simply make sure your servers & properties of your new email boxes are configured as per the details above.

REMOTE ACCESS:  example: access your mail server if you are on a business trip, use this link to view your email account: mail.yourdomain.com, simply enter YOUR complete email account name:  myname.yourdomain.com and password to view & send email from this account.
